
How do I apply?
Applications are online only and will be sent via email. The deposit is needed with the application. If your application is approved, this will act as your security deposit. If not approved, or if you turn down the unit before signing the rental agreement it will be returned to you in full.
What information is needed for the application?
We collect your ID, SSN, proof of income, residential history, and other standard information (such as your vehicle information, dependents, pets, etc.). A consumer report is required for your application. Reusable consumer reports are prohibited. The rental application fee is $60.00. The consumer reporting is done Asurint Powered by Transunion. What criteria could result in a declined application?
The following is required for your application. If all but one criteria is met, you may qualify for a co-signer. If two or more criteria are not met, your application will be declined.
-40% of your verifiable income must cover rent
-No collections or historical negatives on your credit report (with the exception of medical collection), and a credit score of 600+
-Good rental history. You must have at least one rental reference that is not a relative
-No criminal background (some exceptions may be made)
What if I have pets?
Cats are allowed with a pet deposit. Please check the "Apartment Info" page for more information on the pet deposits. Service Animals/Emotional Support Animals are allowed with the following:
-Letter from your primary care provider/mental health provider prescribing the service animal/ESA (must be verifiable)
-Proof of rabies vaccinations
-Proof of licensing from the City of Bellingham (dogs only)
-A signed addendum along with your rental agreement
Can I add a roommate or sublet?
Subletting is not allowed. Roommates can be added and/or removed with the proper paperwork, applications, and approval from management. "Add a tenant" and "remove a tenant" paperwork can be found on our website, at our office, or can be provided via email. At least one tenant from the original rental agreement must stay on the rental agreement until it expires and/or is terminated.
Where can I park?
Each apartment is assigned 1 marked spot that corresponds with your unit number. The unmarked spots are first come first serve. No more than two vehicles per apartment is permitted. All vehicles must be in working condition, currently licensed, and registered with management. All vehicles require a parking permit. Vehicles in unauthorized areas will be towed at the vehicle owner's expense. Parking in the fire lane or in front of garbage cans will result in immediate towing. Guests may park on the street.
Can I have visitors?
Visitors who stay more than 14 days must fill out an application. If unauthorized people are found to be staying in your rental unit, rent can be increased by $150.00 or you can be given a notice to vacate. Tenants are fully responsible for visitors. Visitors must park on the street.
What if I lock myself out of my apartment?
If you have a roommate, please contact them first. Otherwise, please call the office and we will send someone out as available. If you need a replacement key, you can pick up a new key from the office as available. Replacement keys are $10.00 each, and a picture ID must be presented. Keys can only be given out to those on the rental agreement.
How do I use the laundry rooms?
Laundry rooms are on the first floor of each building. Your door key will unlock the laundry rooms. Please be courteous of your fellow tenants when using the machines.
